Inspired by Shigeru Ban's temporary emergency houses, this display reveals how sustainable design principles can be implemented using easily obtainable materials. A system of 100% recycled/recyclable cardboard tubes holds up the exhibit graphics which were printed on canvas, an ecologically sound fabric. The cardboard tubes are four different sizes so they can be nested within each other to keep shipping costs and energy usage down. The tubes are attached together by reusable hardware for ease of disassembly. Recyclable acrylic plastic was used to form the table tops. Glues and finishes were avoided to encourage recycling of the exhibit beyond its existence.
